Illuminating Conversations

This year’s event was nothing short of transformative, bringing together architects, interior designers, and creatives from various disciplines to celebrate the beauty and innovation in design.

One of the standout moments was the riveting conversation between design icons Brigette Romanek and Jake Arnold at Stark. Their dynamic exchange delved into their creative processes and the evolving landscape of design, leaving the audience buzzing with inspiration. It was refreshing to hear how both designers blend modern trends with timeless aesthetics, especially in the context of luxury lighting.

Another highlight was the cocktails, conversation, and book signing with legendary designer Michael S. Smith at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. His storytelling, paired with insights from his latest work, offered a deep dive into the art of curating spaces that tell a story. Hearing him discuss the pivotal role of lighting in creating ambiance was particularly enlightening for me as a lighting designer.

At the Jan Showers Showroom, Mark D. Sikes hosted an iconic design event complete with cocktails and a book signing. His emphasis on using color and texture to evoke emotion in spaces was a captivating reminder of the power of thoughtful design.
