Bright Ideas: Mastering Artwork Lighting
Posts
The third video in our Bright Ideas series looks into Mastering Artwork Lighting. Led by our Design Director, Luke Thomas, this episode focuses on how different artwork requires lighting in complementary ways to maximise the impact at night.
Lighting artwork correctly is essential to showcasing its beauty, depth, and detail whatever its scale or value. The right lighting enhances colors, textures, and contrasts, allowing the piece to be fully appreciated as the artist intended. Poor lighting, whether too dim or too harsh, can wash out colors, create distracting glare, or even cause long-term damage due to excessive heat or UV exposure.
In this video, Luke shares his expertise not only on what to look for when selecting lighting for your artwork but also gives you some examples of how to light different styles of artwork in different ways.
If you love designing beautifully illuminated spaces, this episode is filled with practical advice, technical expertise, and creative insights. Discover how strategic lighting can enhance every detail of your project and explore the best products to ensure your art is beautifully lit.
