The Role

We want you to not only generate revenue from new business but to build and maximise existing accounts using the support of warm leads generated by the brand, marketing, and events. It would be advantageous if you already have had exposure in the industry, however, for us, the most important thing is that you understand the nuances, language, and requirements of the high-end residential and hospitality industry. We are keen to pursue and excel in hospitality so if you can collaborate with architects, interior designers, and high-end property developers, then you’re already halfway there.

The individual should have their own portfolio of accounts/relationships from relevant sectors to leverage. If you don’t, then that doesn’t matter. What does matter is your tenacity to build a portfolio. You need to be hungry to succeed. Your portfolio will promote John Cullen’s services and products, as well as our reputation. Through regular in-person interaction with current and prospective clients you will ensure that our brand and reputation remain strong. You will provide a unique, value-added, first-class customer XP, guiding the customer as appropriate. The individual should have proven experience in project stakeholder management.

Experience/ Skill Set

It sounds a bit of a cliché, but for us, it’s about getting the right person. You need to show that you are a senior with a proven career of securing stakeholder relations. You must have at least four years in a sales role which includes prospecting or lead follow-up with a view to appointment making. You need to be able to juggle many different clients with a high level of skill, professionalism, and attention to detail. We want to ensure that we have return business, so you must ensure that you and the rest of our employees at JCL work tight and awareness of who we are must form part of your DNA. This is just not a job, it’s a connection! You must always seek out opportunities to collaborate and forge relationships with all stakeholders. We want you to look the part, sound great and understand who we are and why we are one of the best in the industry. Your clients must WANT to deal with you and to come to you first, as their trusted default lighting advisor.

This position will report to our Head of Specification who leads the UK and Europe to success. Work expectations are high, but in return you will be supported by not only someone who has years of experience working at JCL but also who has strong Senior Leadership. This is an opportunity for you to grow and progress, both professionally and within the organisation through our development programme. The horizon is yours if you want it.

Good luck!
